Paul Rafis AKA The Mmeatman (Founder) of WISE RAP “Biography”
Hi all, welcome to WiseRap my website. My name is Paul Rafis, i am 28 years old and i am from north west London and music is a big part of my life. I started to record music profesionally when i was aged 16, at this time in my life it was just a hobbie for me but then soon after that i realised i needed music and was a big part of my life. I decided to start working in a butchers shop in my local area to fund my studio time, leaving myself broke on many occasions.
Three years had past, now reaching the age of 19 with a daughter on the way which meant i had to grow up and change my whole way of thinking. I then stepped up to the plate to be a father, now im serious and my catalouge grows immensely!!!!!. years past i had recorded hundreds of tracks so i 2007 i started to release albums, at this time i was known as Vulcan aka vulks, the Meatman was not yet known. Two more years had past and i was still spending all of my money putting out albums, trying to promote my music, support my family. Then 2009 came about at the speed of light.
Then one morning im washing the butcher shop counter glass at Hampstead Butchers a beautifull young Mum walks Past with her Child hand In Hand They stop The Kid looks at me & sais look Mummy The Meatman! then My New Uk Hip Hop name was born Is Was Like Einstein with The light bulb To Me anyway.
From this point I began Producing myself & gave Up On Money hungry Studio Fee Producers. I Began to order Equipment and really gather some Crucial Hip Hop Albums Over The Period Of 2009 to 2011 I Had Made Over 5 albums & 2 Mixtapes Also Distributing over 35,000, 40,000 physical units via several butcher shops i worked in i found my platform to make my name a house hold brand.
Then In 2012 I decided To release my New Lp Worlds End Under my real name Paul Rafis. The reason i have started to use my real name is because i have been through a long process Over years in the industry seeing fake music being promoted to our children, i guess you could say that every major radio station in the U.K had recieved copies of my c.ds over the years including top radio djs such as Tim Westwood Aka NotSoHood and Trever Nelson etc. i came to realise mainstreem radio djs have a playlist and are mostly told what to play. Me personally im on this underground Hip Hop movement i run which is WiseRap, You Can download my 8 albums & mixtapes free off My site In www.wiserap.com and please look out for my new Resurrection album out the 1st of december 2012 for sale. This will be a reveloutionary U.K Hip Hop album that represents the true essence of living hard, turning negative to positive and being a iconic figure for my daughter, family and cultures well being.
