Hi, my name is Malcolm I am a middle aged guy, twice married with two grown up daughters, a steady Government job in IT and I am over it. I want out, I want to live in the way I envision-I want a modest house in the country with a few acres to grow some food, a spring to supply fresh clean fluoride-free water, keep a few animals for food and the joy of it. There are Free options also, but if you seriously want to give this a real shake, go for your own website and domain name. This is also great for building your own ‘Brand’.
The Internet is truly a wondrous creation! We tend to take it for granted these days, but if you stop for a minute and consider what the Internet actually is, thousands upon thousands of Servers, small networks, computers, billions of documents… wow, and what is more it continues to grow daily: the Internet has seen a 528% growth since the year 2000, currently there are 2,267,233,742 individuals online- two and a quarter Billion! Now that is a large market, in anyone’s’ language.
With such a huge market, you would think it would be quite easy to leverage a little money, but the reality is that it takes work. Way back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s Internet marketers had a ball, it was like ‘shooting fish in a barrel’ according to some seasoned entrepreneurs; people were open to the offers presented on this strange new medium, and some of the less ethics-driven types cashed in on the gullibility of new punters. Today we have a very different Internet from those early times. Security is much better, standards are very much higher and we are all a little more switched on and aware. Even so, I have a few good friends who would never use their credit card to purchase something on line; one of my friends told me: “My Hotmail and Facebook accounts were both hijacked and hacked, there is no-way I will use my credit card online!’ Well, this is an understandable position, but it is quite wrong. The security systems used for financial transactions are pretty solid online; a Hotmail account is quite a different animal to an E-commerce system. I have been buying all sorts of stuff on the Internet for years now, I have not experienced any problems; you have to be alert, and know what you are doing, but the convenience and savings to be had are tremendous! My experience is backed up by hundreds of thousands of other Internet users.
