We all go about our lives without understanding why things happen to us the way they did, but now a group of people have come together to bring you lessons that you could use for you to change your life. Barb Anderson and Mary Dougherty presents the book, Waking Up is NOT Hard to Do, written by 19 contributors who all have experienced a degree of awakening of the consciousness and are willing to share their learnings and experiences to the general public.

Waking Up is NOT Hard to Do is an anthology comprising of the experiences and learnings of 19 featured authors. These authors describe themselves as “Light Workers” who work to provide enlightenment to the readers of their books. Anderson, who is also one of the authors contributing to the book, says of the group, “We are Healers of the body, mind and soul. We are Intuitives, auto knowing and auto writing, freely sharing our self-expression. We are the Light Workers, working in all areas of life.”

One remarkable experience featured in the book is that of Anita Miranda, a retired disabled Veteran. Her segment in the book is entitled “Mother’s Kiss,” which outlines her experiences with her mother whom she and her father had left when she was four years old. Anita says in the book, “I saw crazy for the first time.” Anita’s mother was psychologically unstable, and her behavior had caused Anita to think that her mother had pushed them away as she had not cared adequately for Anita throughout her life. Her mother even gave her away to other people only to take her back out of guilt, but life under her mother’s care was full of loneliness and despair. However, Anita ultimately realized the purpose of her mother’s sacrifice as she grew older. Her mother knew she was not capable of taking care of her child because of her mental condition yet in her afterlife she would never leave her. Through this experience, from a ward of the court to earning her Master’s degree, Anita had awakened and began to see things in a different viewpoint, as a Lipstick Reader and she now shares her experiences and her learnings through the book, Waking Up is NOT Hard to Do.

The book is a collaborative effort between the contributors and the publishers who aim to put forward experiences that can teach other people to appreciate and to be conscious of their surroundings. It is the group’s effort also to be a catalyst of positive change in today’s world where everything is changing so fast as well as helping people understand their own strengths and their weaknesses, and be able to awaken and rise up to their full potential as individuals who are unique at birth and with their own capabilities.

Waking Up is NOT Hard to Do is available in paperback editions and digital download at Amazon with ISBN: 978-1466493698.
